Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojan

The Government of India has declared Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY-I). Under this scheme  the U.T Administration of DNH and Daman & Diu has provide free of cost of Foodgrains of Rice and Pulses (Tur Dal) under NFSA entitlement for the next 3 months. 5 kg of Rice per person per month and 1 kg of Tur Dal per ration card at free of cost for a period of three months, April, May & June, 2020 at one time. (i.e. 15 kg of Rice per person and 3 kg of Tur Dal per ration card under AAY and PHH Ration card holder under NFSA, 2013) has been distributed w.e.f 23.04.2020 onwards. Now under PMGKAY Phase II, III, IV, V and VI under which 5 kg per person of foodgrains is being distribution till December 2022 as per below.

Benefits:

This is the worlds' largest food security scheme launched by the Government of India to combat COVID-induced economic disruptions. The scheme aims to ensure food safety (of the poor) by providing food items including 5 kg rice/wheat per individual.
